Do we use cookies on our website?

In order to make this web site working properly and to improve our visibility, sometimes we store on your device small data files called cookies. Most websites also use this method.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your recent actions and preferences (such as username, language, font size, and other display settings) for a specified period of time so you don’t have to enter them every time you visit the site or switch from page to page.

What types of cookies and tracking do we use and for what purpose?

1. Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the function of this website. If you block them, the content may be corrupted or displayed incorrectly.

They are used to facilitate your movement and the navigation through our website and may be related to providing access to features such as your profile. These cookies do not gather information about you that could be used for marketing purposes and do not remember your actions on the internet. Normally, this category of cookies cannot be disabled without causing malfunction of the website. Please refer to the information below to understand more about the essential cookies.

2. Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Hotjar cookies as an analytic and feedback tool to analyze the user experience on our website and to improve its usability. These cookies collect information in the aggregate to give us insight into how our website is being used. Hotjar stores first-party cookies on your browser.

Hotjar cookie is set when the customer first visits our page. It is used to persist the Hotjar User ID, unique to that site on the browser. This ensures that behavior in subsequent visits to the same site will be attributed to the same user ID.

In Google Analytics the IP addresses are anonymized and the data is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. The following table has more information about these cookies.

3. Marketing cookies

The marketing cookies are not continuously present. They are used and enabled when marketing campaign is taking place.

We use the Facebook Conversion Pixel and Facebook Remarketing services on our website. Through Facebook Conversion Pixel, we and Facebook understand when someone clicked on our Facebook ad and was redirected to our website. However, we cannot see the other websites you have loaded and we do not collect or receive information that allows users to be personally identified. The information collected through Facebook Conversion Pixel is intended to produce statistics on the performance and use of our Facebook ads. With Remarketing technology, users who have visited our site can be targeted advertisements on Facebook websites. Nevertheless, we do not collect data or track if the Facebook targeted ads have been shown to Facebook users and we are not able to identify individual users. For more information on the purposes and scope of collecting and processing your personal data from Facebook, as well as settings options to protect your privacy on Facebook, we recommend you to consult Facebook’s Privacy policy.

With regards to Google Ads we use conversion cookies (e.g., cookies named ‘__gcl’), whose main purpose is to help us determine how many times people who click on our ads end up taking an action on our website (e.g., creating profile, send an inquiry and so on). These cookies allow us and Google to determine that you clicked the ad and later visited our site. Conversion cookies are not used by Google for personalized ad targeting and persist for a limited time only. Some of our other cookies may be used to measure conversion events as well.
