Corporate Social Responsibility
“Comac Medical is proud to be a factor in the society’s development, not just a source of income for a few people.”

Dr. Milen Vrabevski, Founder and CEO

Corporate Social Responsibility That Matters

Corporate Social Responsibility is strongly integrated and well developed in all structures of Comac Medical. We believe that the success of every business is closely connected with the progress of society. Based on this idea, we have developed well-planned and long-term CSR policy that allows us to invest effectively in the potential of the young people in the country and the region, supporting national and European culture, history, identity, as well as investing in overcoming societal challenges, in health, demographic crisis, and well-being of the population.

In order to enlarge the scale of Comac Medical’s social activity, the CEO of Comac Medical, Dr. Milen Vrabevski, founded the Bulgarian Memory Foundation (BGMF). This is a non-profit organization established in 2007 – the year of the Accession of Bulgaria to the European Union, working for and with young people. The aim of the organization is to build on the modern concept of national identity in the light of the Bulgarian EU membership. The projects of the BGMF leverage on the Bulgarian contribution to the European cultural and historical heritage to increase national pride. The Foundation supports national initiatives with a European dimension in line with the European democratic principles and values – pluralism, tolerance, freedom, and solidarity.

With the belief that in our region there is still untapped innovation potential, in the last 13 years we have been investing in 4 main priority areas:

  • Development of the knowledge-based economy and youth realization in Bulgaria and Europe;
  • Educational initiatives for integration, socialization and European perspective of the young people in Bulgaria, Bulgarian communities from the historic diaspora and EU neighboring countries – Serbia, Republic of North Macedonia, Moldova and Ukraine;
  • Strengthening the sense of national and European identity of youth, through initiatives for preserving the Bulgarian cultural and historical heritage, part of the European civilization;
  • Initiatives for overcoming the demographic crisis and sustainable regional development in Bulgaria and Europe.
